Tax-free means the rate of interest paid where interest is exempt from income tax, provided all ISA conditions are met.

We pay monthly interest. Interest will be paid into your Easy Cash ISA on the 1st of every month.

Can Spring change the interest rate?

How do I open and manage my account?

Online through your Spring App.

You can open a savings account with us if you’re an individual who is 18 or over. You must also be a resident in the UK for tax purposes.

You’ll also need a valid email address, UK mobile number and a linked UK current account (held in your name) to make deposits in and withdrawals out of your savings account.

You can only have one account holder on this account.

The minimum balance for this account is £10. You have 28 days from the day we tell you your account is open to make sure you’ve made your opening deposit. If not, your account will be closed and you’ll need to complete a new application.

The maximum balance is £500,000. This includes any money held in your savings pots.

Can I withdraw money?

Yes, simply log into your account and follow the instructions on screen.

Withdrawals from your savings account can only be made to your linked current account. This will be done via Faster Payments and usually takes up to two hours.

If we’re already processing another withdrawal request from your account, you won’t be able to make another withdrawal. Once the previous withdrawal has been successfully made you can then make another withdrawal request.

You can also transfer your Spring Easy Cash ISA to another ISA provider without impacting your tax-free status. You can do this through your new ISA provider, who will send us a request for transfer. This can take up to 15 business days to complete. If it’s a full transfer, once successfully processed, we will close your ISA account with Spring.

Personal Savings Allowance

Interest is tax-free and doesn’t count towards your Person Savings Allowance.

You may be required to pay tax on the interest you earn if you no longer meet the conditions for holding an ISA.

You can spread your ISA allowance across multiple ISAs, subject to HMRC guidance and not exceeding your annual ISA allowance.

If you change your mind, you can close this ISA within 14 days of your opening deposit. Any ISA closed in this way won’t count as an ISA subscription.

What is an easy access cash ISA?

An easy access cash ISA is a type of tax-free savings account that lets you take money out whenever you need, without penalty. You can make cash deposits, earn interest, and keep all the extra earnings without paying UK income tax.

You can currently save up to £20,000 each tax year in accounts held with us or other ISA providers (this is your overall ISA allowance for the 2026/2027 tax year).

Please note: the Government has announced plans to reduce the cash ISA allowance to £12,000 for savers under 65 from 6 April 2027. If you’d like to read more about this change, you can check the latest guidance on gov.uk.

Can I withdraw money from an easy access cash ISA at any time?

Are easy access cash ISAs flexible?

Not all easy access cash ISAs are flexible, but our Easy Cash ISA is. This means any money you withdraw can be paid back during the same tax year without affecting your annual ISA allowance. In other words, withdrawals are added back to your remaining allowance, so you don’t lose your tax-free savings space.

Flexible ISAs are designed to help you make the most of your annual ISA allowance while giving you the freedom to access your money when you need it. Not all ISAs offer this feature, so it’s always worth checking before you move your ISA money.

Who are easy access cash ISAs best for?

The answer depends on your savings goals.

Easy access cash ISAs allow you to save up to £20,000 each tax year and earn tax-free interest within your annual ISA allowance, while keeping your money accessible.
